Terms of Use

1. Who you are contracting with

Meyuman is operated by Mikhael Rakhman, an independent developer based in Israel. Contact: support@meyuman.com.

2. Accepting these terms

By installing or using Meyuman you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

Your licence to use the app is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). These terms supplement it; if they conflict on the licence to use the app, the standard EULA prevails. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.

3. You must be 18 or older

Meyuman is for adults only. By using it you represent and confirm that you are at least 18. This is a contractual condition, and the app does not verify age by technical means. The app deals with weight, food intake and body metrics, which is why this limit exists.

4. What Meyuman is — and what it is not

Meyuman is a nutrition diary that uses an AI assistant to turn a photo, a few words or a voice note into structured entries with estimated calories and macronutrients.

Consult a qualified professional before making decisions about your diet or health — in particular if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have diabetes or kidney, liver, cardiac or metabolic conditions, take medication affected by diet, or have a history of an eating disorder. If you have any concern about your health, seek medical help and do not rely on this app.

5. The numbers are estimates

The calories and macronutrients Meyuman shows are estimates. They are produced by an AI model, sometimes assisted by public food databases, from an image or a short description. They are not measurements.

Portion size, ingredients, preparation method and hidden ingredients such as oil, sugar and sauces cannot be determined reliably from a photo or a sentence. Real values can differ substantially from what is shown. Treat every figure as an approximation, and verify anything that matters to you.

6. The assistant can be wrong

The AI assistant can misidentify a dish, misjudge a quantity, apply an edit you did not intend, or state something incorrect with apparent confidence. Review what it records. You are responsible for the accuracy of your own diary.

7. No account, one device, your responsibility

Meyuman works without registration. Your diary exists only on your device, and we have no copy of it. This means:

• anyone with access to your unlocked device can see your diary;
• your diary is not synchronised between devices;
• if the device or the app's data is lost, the diary is lost, and we cannot restore it.

Exporting a backup from Settings is your responsibility. See the Privacy Policy for details.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the service other than through the official app;
• access our API by automated means, or attempt to circumvent rate, usage or capacity limits or the subscription check;
• interfere with the service, overload it, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to it;
• upload content that is unlawful, or that contains another person's personal information without their consent;
• use the service for any purpose other than tracking your own nutrition.

9. Subscription, free trial and cancellation

Meyuman's AI features require a Meyuman Premium subscription, sold only through Apple's App Store as an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription. Payment is handled by Apple; we never receive your payment details. The price and currency are shown in the app and by the App Store before you confirm; the App Store purchase sheet is authoritative.

• Free trial. New subscribers who are eligible under Apple's rules get a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, it converts into a paid subscription and the price is charged to your Apple Account. If no trial applies to you, payment is charged when you confirm the purchase.
• Automatic renewal. The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. If the price changes, Apple notifies you and, where required, asks for your consent.
• Cancellation. Cancel at any time in your iPhone's Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or in the App Store under your account. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription. After cancellation, access continues until the end of the period you have already paid for.
• Refunds. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies, at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple refunds or revokes a subscription, access ends. This does not affect your rights under the Israeli Consumer Protection Law or other mandatory law.
• Restore. After reinstalling the app, or on a new device with the same Apple Account, use "Restore purchases" in the app.

Without an active subscription the app offers a short demo of the AI assistant. After the demo the AI features are unavailable, but your data stays on your device and you can still export it (JSON and PDF) from the subscription screen.

To keep the service sustainable, AI requests and photos are subject to daily and monthly usage limits designed to cover normal personal use. A request above a limit is declined until the limit resets.

10. Availability and changes to the service

We may change, suspend or discontinue parts of the service, subject to access you have already paid for and to mandatory consumer law. We do not guarantee that the service will be available, uninterrupted or error-free, and there is no service level commitment. The AI assistant needs an internet connection and depends on third-party services (section 12).

11. Intellectual property

The app, the website, their design, text and graphics, and the Meyuman name and mark, belong to Mikhael Rakhman and are protected by law. You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app for your own personal use, as set out in the standard EULA (section 2). You may not copy, modify, decompile, reverse engineer, resell or redistribute it, except where the law expressly permits.

Your own content — your diary entries, photos and messages — remains yours. You grant us only the limited permission needed to process it in order to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. We claim no ownership of it and do not use it for any other purpose.

12. Third-party services

Meyuman relies on services provided by Google (the Gemini API), Render (hosting), Upstash (data store) and Apple (distribution, payments and iOS system services). Their terms and policies apply to their parts of the service, and we are not responsible for them. See section 14 of the Privacy Policy for how Google processes content under its terms for the paid Gemini API.

13. Provided "as is"

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Meyuman is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy or non-infringement.

14. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for any loss of data, profit, health outcome or opportunity, arising from your use of, or inability to use, Meyuman — including any decision you take on the basis of a figure or statement the app produced.

Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the greater of: the amounts you paid for the service in the twelve months preceding the event, or ILS 100 — in each case only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded under Israeli law, and nothing in them affects mandatory consumer rights available to you.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify us against any claim arising from your breach of these terms or your misuse of the service.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed, and continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms. For a material change we will give notice in the app or on the website.

17. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The competent courts of Tel Aviv–Yafo have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them, without derogating from mandatory consumer rights available to you, including any right to bring proceedings before another competent forum where the law grants you such a right.
